Children of Chaos, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) Organization since 1999 and Kosovo.

Since then we have been very active in reaching out to children in crisis situations of all sorts, natural and manmade. We have been awarded two Children’s Reading and Literacy Grants by the State of Florida Dept/Education and been effective in improving reading and test scores in the assigned schools.

We have provided personal items and books and school supplies to children in Abused Family Shelters in Monroe and Avery counties.

We gathered footwear for the refugees of Katrina who were in shelters in Baton Rouge, LA. That was a critical project since many people left their homes and clothing behind and their shoes, sneakers and sandals are much worse for the wear.

This was also found to be true with the Kosovo refugees who arrived in Albania carrying their shoes to save them from the mountain terrain.

Please advise any of our neighbors or businesses that any shoes that we acquired during Operation SHOELIFT went directly from Charlotte/Douglas Airport to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and were distributed among the children and adults in the shelters there, with a hug and hope for the future from Children of Chaos.
