How long has it been around?

¨ Started the work of Children of Chaos in 1999 with Kosovo and Albania and carried it back to Florida to Incorporate and we received Non Profit status in May 2000.

 Where is it going?

¨ Up till now it has been a Mom and Pop operation and has accomplished what we can with our limited resources.

With Ron LeGrand’s help we can reach out nationally and touch many more children in disaster areas as well as those in need of literacy support.

 Why should I support it?

¨ If you have ever watched the aftermath of a disaster, natural or man-made, you will feel some need to help personally but were limited to writing a check to the Red Cross or a Faith based charity and hoped that it really reached someone in need.

¨ We want to set up a network of Volunteers and Sponsors all over this country who will actually reach out and touch a child in need and give them some love, support and a few items to carry them through the hardest times. These Volunteers would be supported by pre-positioned stocks of supplies that we have bought with your donations that will be rushed to those of you in the affected area to support your communities in the name of C of C.

¨ There is no greater feeling of satisfaction than you will feel after offering your hand and heart to a small child after they have had their world turned upside down. They may have become separated from their family, pets, friends and even Mr. Teddy but you have appeared to offer them a hug and a hand even some toilet articles, a pair of PJs some tennis shoes and a new teddy bear.

¨ Often after a disaster, only the adults are seen in public either decrying the failure of the Government or lamenting their property loss.

The children are the real little victims of most disasters and do not want to feel alone and scared.

Who are the principals?

¨  Kathleen and John Battaglia
